Size: wing span up to 2 metres long and weigh up to 4.5 kg

Life Span: in the wild up to 30 years

Current Status: endangered in some areas

Habitat: rivers, bays and islands

Fast facts:

        eats fish, turtles, sea snakes, carrion, lizards, small mammals and other birds

  • nests can be up to 4.5 metres deep and 2.5 metres wide
